Happy Friday my friends!

I just wanted to say Thank You for your good thoughts and vibes that continue to come my way! They are so appreciated! I will continue to keep you posted along the way. Our coordinator asked me if i want a call every month or 6 weeks or whatever. I told her 'no', when i got "the itch" to know something, i would call.

It has been a bit since i have posted a Friday Find. I just recently found this site called Reknit.

Super cute concept and a great way to reuse sweaters or anything knitted for that matter!

[ friday finds: Wall Candy Arts ]

Good morning and happy Friday my friends! {the 13th i might add too incase you didn't realize it}. I hope it is fantastic regardless.
I have a real treat for you today that i came across this week.

Remember the project i wanted to do and posted about? Well i still haven't completed (well actually started is the right word) because i haven't found the right frame yet and i haven't had time to focus. I am however starting a "big list of little projects to do" as well as a "little list of big projects to do." Crazy, right?

Well, i came across this website and found a wall chalkboard vinyl! Perhaps this could be my substitute? Not convinced yet, but they are awfully cute. And.. i'm thinking one day for a toy room!

[ friday finds: Ruche ]

It's no secret that I loves shopping, especially clothes. I just love fun, frilly and feminine pieces. They make me giddy! My favorites are Ann Taylor LOFT and Anthropologie. I recently came across Ruche though and was excited about all the goodies they offer! From pretty dresses to fun accessories, i'm thinking i could do some serious damage.

Is anyone familiar with the brand? I wonder about the quality.

So Etsy never fails! I have found some of the cutest darn things (and lately baby related) either myself or through other friends or blogs. This week, i found through Spearmint Baby Urban Baby Bonnet. Uhm, super, duper cute. i can't stand it! I love that there are designs for little boys and girls, spring and winter!!

Why is it that when a long, holiday weekend is upon us, the week dragged along like walking in quicksand. Ugh.. i really didn't think this week would end. I'm so looking forward a weekend of fun, friends and relaxation!

Before i head off for some festivities though, i wanted to share these beauties with you! Jewelry designer Elva Fields has some lovely pieces that are sure to spruce up anything you pair them with! I don't think there is one piece that i wouldn't buy. With that said, most of her goodies are out of stock, but i still wanted to share! [ friday finds: IKEA real living ]

It is no secret, i love IKEA! The simplicity, the ability to combine each piece with various styles and other pieces and the price! I love browsing through the catalog that ends up wrinkled and doggie eared. We are getting ready to plan another trip too. Oh- and the swedish meatballs? Yummy.
Anyway, i just found this website. I think i must be the last living person to realize it even existed, but it is all about IKEA goodies in the homes of people. Real homes, like me and you! Not propped for photo shoots and not like the store.

If you have been reading my blog for a bit, you will know that i love Etsy. I could sit and browse all day long. The talent and creativity that oozes from that site is simply awesome.
I recently came across Cut + Paste. An online shop that offers all sorts of goodies from artists, designers and crafters worldwide. Sort of like Etsy. Check it out, there are some fun finds there!

I hope you all have a great weekend! My birthday is Sunday, so i'm looking forward to relaxing and having Christopher taking care of all the social organizing!

Happy Friday friends! I'm signing off early today to take a long weekend for that {ahem} fun camping trip! But, i couldn't leave without sharing the cutest baby hats, ever! I am not even sure how i found this site, but it is small and sweet with just a few selections. However, a few is all you need. They are just too darling!

Good morning friends and happy, happy Friday! I am more than happy it is Friday. Being away for the beginning of the week totally made the rest of the week feel "off", and made me so busy i had a hard time catching up and coming up for air!

This Friday's find, is a group of contemporary accessories that are both contemporary and functional; For both men and women They sort of look like space objects to me, but still kind of fun with the right outfit i suppose. I kind of like the silver clutch! There is one store in Brooklyn {*wink, wink* to @bkyln} with more to come!

I just wanted to take a moment and get all mushy on you and thank my newest followers. I look forward to getting to know all of you! Also, thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on our nursery. Christopher and i put our hearts and soul into a very special room for a very special baby. It helped to distract us too from the wait. {sort of}.

So...now onto this week's fun find!

I have actually had this link stored for quite some time to share and kept forgetting about it. I don't know how since these pieces of artwork are just so beautiful and unique. I just love the way Bernadette uses good ol' pigment dyes to create her illustrations along with a gocco machine, which from experience i can confirm is no easy task!

This weekend is full of fun, friends and food! Then i have to pack because i'm headed to NYC for the National Stationery Show for 2 days! So exciting and can you say paper heaven?

[ friday finds: Jayson Home & Garden ]

Happy Friday friends! What a week. It is amazing how everyday, i nearly beg for more hours in the day i'm just so busy. I guess it is a good problem to have, huh?

I have a fun find to show you, but before i do, remember last Fridays find? Well that day, i had ordered my sign and i received it yesterday. I asked William to leave it unfinished as i have some of my own paint i am using in small amounts for accents pieces such as this in the nursery.

This is the sign in its raw form.

I can't wait to paint it this weekend and finalize the details for the reveal!

Now, onto this Friday's find.

I stumbled across Jayson Home and Garden while looking at one of my daily reads, Oh. Joy. I immediately fell in love with the ceramic farmer's baskets. So much so, i'm going to order them for Mother's Day gifts and fill with fresh fruit for my mom, sister and mother in law. But then, i couldn't get over how fun everything else on the site was too.

[ friday finds: William Dohman ]

I am the first to admit, it takes me forever at times to find just the right item. Whether it be clothing, shoes, a bracelet or home accessories.

I have been looking for goodies to accessorize the nursery. We purchased some ledges for books that will run up and down the wall so the book fronts face out. I like this idea over a traditional shelf. Anyway, one of the ledges will be further up the wall and i have been looking for some great items to add that are kid appropriate but will grow with them.

BINGO! I found it yesterday and i'm so excited. Did you know that Etsy is just so cool? Of course you do. You can find anything there. These amazing wood script signs. I have already contacted the seller to have one made that says "read" for the top ledge. However, i think i might have him leave it unfinished so i can paint it bright yellow. We have added some bright yellow into the color scheme and i'm loving it. It was actually Christopher's idea and i love that he brought it up!

[ friday finds: Recycled vintage wallpaper ]

So many beautiful things to do with recycled vintage wallpaper. Who would have thunk? What caught my eye originally was the fun lunch bags, even though i don't pack a lunch for work anymore. But heck! Makes me want to pack one anyway just to use it. But check out the shop Nel Dubbio Disegna Fiori, or When in Doubt Draw Flowers.

Before i show you the goodies i found, i wanted to share this quote from Ralph Marston.

This statement today is so strong for me as i feel like my life as Rebecca, and my life with my husband has changed over the past year a great, great deal. I feel like i have finally realized after a whole lot of searching what I want and need in life to make me and us happy. I feel like i was able to rid myself of some toxic and unfriendly situations in my life. I have grown to be able to deal with the worst of the worst, and the best of the best. I have made some amazing, amazing friends that i am truly grateful for. We share the same funny stuff, spirituality, religion, values, morals and some of the best laughter that i have had in a long time!

OK - now onto the fun stuff. Thanks for letting me get mushy for a bit. We are starting to refocus on the nursery again and i can't wait. Christopher bought me the most darling wall vinyls that i have been wanting. Now i can't wait for them to get here so i can finish up that wall! In the meantime, i came across this wonderful website. I first noticed the little bird vases to put in the nursery, but i soon realized what fun, beautiful things there are for the home, for body and for both men and women! The site is Reverie Daydream Boutique.

[ friday finds: Resource Furniture ]

I have always wanted to live in the city. What city? Any city. A city that has a commuter rail, a loft and step outside for the most fabulous java beverage and scone. More recently, Christopher and i keep tossing the idea of moving around. Our jobs can take us anywhere and there are some great areas still close to family.

Then i think.... really Rebecca? Do you realize how much crap you have? I need space and lots of it. So, a small city apartment seems cool for a short time and then i come back to what i love. Space. It is fun to dream though and i have always imagined a gorgeous city view, with minimalist style and less=more with furniture. I found this cool site, Resource Furniture and fell in love with the style.

Spring has come, well... not officially, but a week long stretch of nice weather has me thinking Mother Nature is on our side! I get so excited to welcome the nice weather in, evening glasses of wine outside by the fire and long walks through the old neighborhood. With it comes spring colors and spring clothes!

Add a burst of color to the simplest outfit with a flower. Or a flower in your hair. I am growing mine out and the thought of putting these beauties in my hair makes me want to run, not walk to get extensions just so i can wear them.
