I'm so sorry to all my readers. Some of you email me offline and some online. Some might not even care and cruise by quickly. Whatever you visit for, i'm sorry for the lack of posting. I know in blogging world apologizing is taboo, however you have followed me long enough i'm 100% myself here and i can play by my own rules. :-P
Since moving into my new office space, my life has changed greatly. All positive stuff, but quite frankly keeping up with the design blog, clients, PR, and the whole slew of new "stuff" that comes with owning a storefront is much greater than i anticipated. It leaves little room {or desire on occasion} to want to come home and blog after being on the computer all day.
Don't get me wrong, i love blogging and keeping you up-to-date on everything, but like i said, i've hit a wall. Unless we call for adoption updates, we don't get any. We opted out of knowing anything.
We try to live life as normal as possible, but quite frankly, it is hard and nearly impossible. I don't care what anyone says, if you have adopted, you get it. We tried to book a NYE trip to Denver to see friends and ski, but were told that trip insurance won't cover adoption. So, that is out. Each month that passes, we are more and more financially drained. We can't spend money on house projects, so i have no updates there.
While we are trying to have fun, it is now cold so most weekends are spent at home, watching movies and snuggling in front of the fire. I'm sure you don't want each "weekend tidbit" about that! LOL
I refuse to become the negative nelly through this process and pour my sadness on my blog. So, my lack of emotion here is just poured out through tears at home and prayer to give me the strength to get through this wait.
We get calls, emails and notes from family and friends that ask the same thing: "any news?" It kills me to answer each time, with of course, no change.
I guess with all of that said, i don't intend to stop blogging. I guess i'd like to call it a hiatus of sorts until i have something interesting and creative to share. In the meantime, i would love feedback on what you like, don't like, miss, want to see more of. It will get my creative juices flowing with goodies to post!
Have a magnificent day!

I think with all life change hitting a wall is completely NORMAL. It's hard to be 1000% positive all the time and no one wants to wallow in their own negativity. For me, personally, I started a blog as a diary...followers came later. So when I look back on all that I write, I want to remember the good stuff. Not the bad. Write when you feel like it, about what you feel like. You owe no one nothing :)
xoxo
aw, i'm sorry, rebecca! it is so exciting though that your shop is keeping you that busy. run with it. don't worry about us. you have to put yourself and the hubs and your career and your journey for a family first in all of this...we'll still be here whenever or if you come back:) good luck, i'll be thinking of you!!!
i'm glad things are going so well on the business side of life. i hate that you guys are still in limbo on the baby side of life. you're always in my thoughts and i'm constantly looking for a *new* post from you on my google reader sidebar, hoping the big announcement is what's been keeping you away.
still praying that 2010 is your year. xo
Like most of your readers, I imagine, I check in on your page always with a schmidge of anticipation hoping you'll have baby news to share. I am anxious for you, so I can't even fathom how you and your husband must feel day to day. And while I'll miss your updates, I more than understand the need for a break! I am so excited that your store is taking off and keeping you busy! Enjoy your days....we aren't going anywhere.

Hey girl,
I don't have any advice for you since I could have written your post myself. Hugs. Let's GTG soon!
Still hoping and praying for you to get the good news soon! You do what you need to do, we stand by you :).
I have been thinking about you so much...and sending lots of good vibes your way. Hopefully they will help!
