This is a find of a different kind! Food. Yummmm... i love food.
I found this recipe on one of my favorite blogs, All Things G&D. I thought it might be fun to share this bit of amazingness with you all, especially with the holiday weekend upon us. If you need to whip together a quick, sweet treat for a party or bbq, this is the one for you!

Saltine Cracker Toffee Bars

What You Need
Saltine Crackers
1 c. Butter (use the real deal though)
1 ½ c. Brown Sugar
Chocolate Chips

To start, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Next, grease a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan, and then lay out your saltine crackers in a nice orderly fashion:

Next, boil butter and brown sugar in a saucepan for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. I like to melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until it's all melted and stirred together, and then I crank it up to high heat and boil for 3 minutes:

Now keep stirring...

After you've boiled for 3 minutes, pour mixture over your pan of saltine crackers

Spread it around nice and evenly...

Bake at 350 degrees for 4 minutes.

Remove from oven and top with chocolate chips:

Spread chocolate chips while still warm:

Let them cool on the counter for a few minutes and then cut them along the lines of the saltine crackers so one bar is the size of one saltine cracker. After they're cut put them in the fridge to cool completely. Once cooled completely transfer them to an airtight container and keep them stored in the fridge.

Enjoy...and i dare you to stop at 1!

Have a safe and fabulous holiday weekend.

I just found your blog through Pewter + Sage and it looks like I am going to have to add you to my list of faves already! I had to leave a quick comment on this post. My girlfriend made this recipe during a girls weekend in DC a few years ago and we all went nuts over them. I hate to even imagine how many I ate that night! Well, she never could remember the actual name for them, so we just started referring to them as "just goods" cause, well, they are just plain GOOD! We all have the recipe and to this day, still refer to them as "Just Goods". Its nice to finally know the orginal name though!
