[ nursery reveal ]

5.12.2010

I am so excited to share our nursery with you! It has been a long time coming, working on it on and off. I feel it is "done enough" to share. I still have to design the window treatments, and we have to purchase and install the closet system. We just felt like we don't need it yet. We can't buy clothes since we don't know what season our baby will find us, so there is no point in putting in empty organizers. We are also slowly collecting books for the reading wall, and that has been a blast!

Stephanie, of Brooklyn Limestone has the rundown on her website today with all of the work we did on the closet. I was so honored to be able to reveal it to her readers. If you have yet to check out her site, you must! It is a great, great read. She is one talented lady!

Such a beautiful room. I love the simpleness to it. Not sure that is even a word, but it's just so clean and open. The colors are great and the bedding is my favorite. I may steal the reading wall idea for my sons room, I love it all. Great job.

Absolutely love the room......especially the birds. We've done kind of the same theme in our nursery.

That nursery is beautiful! You did a great job.

Your blog name caught my eye first (Rebecca is my sis-in-law's name & Ella is my neice's name), but I love your style, I will be back for more visits!

Thank you all SO much! After putting so much emotion into the room while we went through the process, it means a lot that it has shown in the room!

@amanda - my niece is actually Ellie and a piece of work. I love hanging out with her.

I just found your blog. What a beautiful room for a baby. I have 2 children, one adopted from Ukraine and one from Russia, they are the loves of our lives. I wish you peace during your wait (it is soooo hard). Your baby will love this room!!

Hey Rebecca,
The nursery is absolutely beautiful. We're in the process of creating ours. What a lot of work! I love the ceiling fan. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I saw that you got it at Walmart but I cannot seem to find it on their site. Can you tell me the manufaturer and name? Thanks! Laura

Rebecca said...

@designgrrl - i hope you check back for this, but the manufacturer is Westinghouse. I did notice it isn't on the Walmart website, but perhaps they are just out of stock for now? Good luck!

Thanks Rebecca! I did find it on Amazon actually. Very cool. Thanks for getting back to me.
