{ an amazing getaway }

Yesterday, i met with a new bride and groom. (Simple adorable) and i can't wait to work with them! We met at the Red Lion Inn in West Stockbridge, MA. As if that wasn't treat enough, afterwards, i drove with their wedding planner to visit Wheatleigh Hotel in Lenox. Oh. My. Goodness. What a slice of amazingness tucked away and oh so close to home that i never knew it existed! My mouth dropped to the floor as i got a private tour of a handful of rooms, the exercise room, the wine tasting room (which you can have a private party if you fancy) and the swimming pool area, which is no ordinary pool.

Although this image was taken from the website, i went during the day. It was fairly overcast, but the view of the Berkshire Mountains was at the very least yesterday - stunning.

I was taken into a couple of rooms to view. OK wait. They were not even rooms, they were small slices of heaven. One of the suites had a spiral staircase with heated wood floors to take you from the lower level to the upper level. The king sized bed faced the mountains and the shower was built for 2, and you could enter from either side as their was a his/her toilet flanking each side of the shower.

There had just been a wedding there the night prior and so the entire hotel was occupied by this wedding. I have to say, i felt like i was in Europe, but alas.... i was in beautiful Massachusetts, about 1.5 hours away. But hey! A girl can dream, and then save a few thousand for a weekend away, right?
