This was last year in Rhode Island.
I'm packing this evening as we leave bright and early tomorrow and i can't lie, the feeling is bittersweet. We really, truly thought we would be packing up for a baby this year. I don't know what made us think this, but we did. It was a done deal in our minds. Our hopes were high and our hearts light with joy. Now, they are somewhat heavy that we are packing for ourselves only. There will be 6 kids with us this year, which we LOVE the thought of, but not ours. It is so saddening. We were so ready to start our family vacations. We were so ready to start the memories. We were just so ready......
When we leave town, one of our checklist items is to let the agency know where we are, give alternative phone numbers and be ready for anything. This is a vacation that i sure hope is interrupted.
